Day 2 of Spring Safari SOS was a busy afternoon with parties, shag lessons, bands, etc. at different places around downtown. Crowds continue to grow at every venue. The weather has been fantastic, so many people are hanging outside. Here are some pictures from Friday afternoon of some of the events:
Spring Safari SOS got started on Thursday with activities in most clubs. Chocolate Chip Band was at Duck’s and sounded really good. Their soul sound keeps people on the dance floor. Then it was on to Fat Harold’s where both the front room and back room were full. The quality of dancing was very good as there was a good mix of dancers at all levels. Pre-SOS parties were in full swing at OD Pavilion and Fat Harold’s on Wednesday night. The OD Pavilion Social and Shag Club had their Pre-SOS Spring Safari Party at the world famous OD Pavilion (ODP). Here are a few pictures. On what was supposed to be the last night of Shaggin’ On The Marsh for spring 2023, there was a very nice crowd that showed up to shag. Jay Kinlaw (aka, Super Jock) was spinning the tunes and keeping the dance floor full. Charlie Womble and Jackie McGee made their usual appearance and danced for everyone, which is always a pleasure to watch.
