Fat Harold’s has been named CBMA Club of the Year 13 times before withdrawing from consideration to let some of the other great clubs in the industry get recognized. We are located on Main Street in the Ocean Drive Section of North Myrtle Beach.  Fat Harold’s has the Best DJs spinning the tunes 7 nights a week. Make plans to join us in the Shag City Grill for somethin’ good to eat and the coldest drinks at the Beach. Then plan to dance the night away. Friday night really gets going. Lots of locals plus many others that are visiting for the weekend typically make it a very large crowd. Come in and watch some of the best shag dancers in the world. You are guaranteed to see shag dancers of all levels … from beginners to pros. The dance floor stays full with the best DJs in beach music.

OD Pavilion is one of the last open air dance floors on the East Coast. OD Pavilion is home to the Shaggers’ Hall of Fame, and the pavilion hosts shag events from April to November. See where the locals hang out to dance and enjoy a cold drink at the beach.

Monday night shag lessons with with Charlie and Jackie! Level 1 Beginner Class starts at 6:00 PM, Level 2 Beginner Class starts at 7:00 PM, and Intermediate class starts at 8:00 pm. The price is $10 for each class. You do not need to take the classes to have a good time. Come join us and socialize, get a bologna sandwich and a cold one and watch the lessons.\ We will see you on the dancefloor!

Tuesday Night March 21st at Fat Harold’s Beach Club features FREE beginners shag lessons with Mandy and River starting at 7:00 pm.No partner required. The Shag City Grill opens at 4:00 pm and Hall of Fame DJ Eddie Anderson will start the music at 6:00 and will play all of your favorites before and after the lessons. Come join us and get you one of those famous Fat Harold’s bologna sandwhiches and a couple of cold ones and learn our state dance. We will see you on the dance floor!
