Shaggin’ On The Marsh At Roca Roja – 04-11-2023

On what was supposed to be the last night of Shaggin’ On The Marsh for spring 2023, there was a very nice crowd that showed up to shag. Jay Kinlaw (aka, Super Jock) was spinning the tunes and keeping the dance floor full.

Charlie Womble and Jackie McGee made their usual appearance and danced for everyone, which is always a pleasure to watch.

Jay Kinlaw also made the surprising announcement that Shaggin’ On The Marsh was being extended one more week so that SOS attendees could check out this venue.

Shaggin’ On The Marsh has been a big hit for locals since it started almost two years ago. On Tuesday nights when there is not much else going on, Roco Roja and 94.9 The Surf provide another venue to shag. Many times local celebrities such as Charlie and Jackie, Jim Quick, Gary Lowder and others show up.

Roco Roja normally offers Shaggin’ On The Marsh from October to April. If you are ever in NMB duing these months on a Tuesday night, you should take the time. Happy hour is from 4-7, and DJ is live from 5-8.
