Packed House At Fat Harold’s

Gene and Betty Varn celebrated their 90th birthdays in style at Fat Harold’s on March 25, 2023. The birthday even was well attended by family and friends that all came out to celebrate these two wonderful people.

They met on a blind date and never looked back, spending many years totally immersed into the shag world where Gene was President of the Camden Shag Club. Even though they have a 45 minute drive, they were a fixture at Fat Harold’s on Wednesday nights, and at OD Pavilion on Sunday afternoons.

This was a very fun evening. The music was good, the dancing was good and the fellowship and love for Gene and Bettey were outstanding.

Here’s to wishing many more birthdays to a wonderful couple that have given so much to the OD shag community.
